Programme of lectures on the history of money

Ancient coin

Pre-coin payment media, the first antique coins or modern banknote production - the history of money covers a wide range of exciting topics.

In its lecture series, the Money Museum of the Deutsche Bundesbank is inviting notable guest speakers to present different aspects of numismatics and the history of money.

The lectures will be held in the lecture room on the first floor of the Money Museum. Admission is free of charge and lectures begin at 18.00. Each lecture will last roughly one hour and will be followed by a discussion. Visitors will then have the opportunity to view the Money Museum’s exhibits before the Museum closes at 21.00.

All the lectures will be held in German.
