The “Night of the Museums” is held in Frankfurt every spring. All of Frankfurt’s museums are open from 19.00 this evening until 02.00 and offer special programmes (tours, lectures, live music, games, etc).
The latest “Night of the Museums” took place on Saturday, 24 April 2010. The Money Museum offered an extensive programme on this occasion.
As well as a free welcome drink and culinary delicacies, there was a guided tour though the different themes of the museum. Bundesbank experts were on hand to explain how to recognise forged money. Visitors had a chance to win exciting prizes in the quiz on price stability and the shredded money guessing game.
Younger guests had the chance to take part in an entertaining museum discovery tour with Eurobert. Groove Agents and MuSix provided an interesting mix of live music all evening long.
Everyone was able to mint their own coins as a souvenir of the evening.
The “Night of the Museums” involved 48 museums in Frankfurt and Offenbach. For more information and the entire program, look here.
The Money Museum will be closed on 29 August 2010 because of the "Museumsuferfest".
