The libraries
and archives of the Deutsche Bundesbank, like the Money Museum, are open to the general public.
The specialist library holds 200,000 volumes and 4,000 periodicals, and the press archives old some 8 million press clippings (dating back to 1948). Their subject range includes the economy, money, foreign currency, finance and external economics (all of the above in theory and policy), banks, stock exchanges and international organisations.

From 23 to 30 December, the library will close at 16.00.

The Historic Archive contains 3,000 meters of files from all areas of the Bank deutscher Länder and (since 1948) the Deutsche Bundesbank as well as a collection of photos and videos. Media may be used by external visitors, and files may be viewed subject to compliance with the Federal Archive Act.
Visits are by appointment.
