Guided tours providing a “Tour through the history of money” are conducted on a regular basis at 11.00 on Sundays and public holidays. Escorted tours for children (aged 6 to 12) take place at 15.00. Interested parties should meet in the Museum lobby. Tours last roughly one hour.
Small or large groups of visitors to the Museum can arrange an appointment with us for a guided tour.
For childrenWe have devised the following special events for children under 12:
A general tour of the Museum restricted to some general aspects of the history of money. Children are introduced to the individual items in a targeted manner.
In the past, animals were often used as money. Animal motifs accordingly show up time and again on coins and banknotes, mostly as a symbol of the issuing state or country.
Production of banknotes; use of banknotes, cash cycle; banknote processing and banknote destruction
The Money Museum will be closed on 29 August 2010 because of the "Museumsuferfest".
